Council recognises the value and importance of the role that community groups and organisations play in building vibrant, inclusive and healthy communities. Council further acknowledges that local organisations and groups may from time to time, in the absence of alternative funding sources, require financial assistance to help meet a demonstrated need within the community.
An annual allocation can be granted to an organisation to deliver recurring projects, activities, events etc that bring benefits to the Murray River Council community.
Organisations must request an annual allocation using the correct form via Smartygrants,
If you are successful in receiving an annual allocation, you will be required to:
- submit an invoice to receive the agreed payment amount and
- submit a post project acquittal report (via Smartygrants), within 6 weeks of your projects completion.
Failure to deliver the project as outlined in your application, or to submit the acquittal report, may lead to the funds being returned to Council and could render your organisation ineligible for future grants from Council.
If you are successful in receiving an annual allocation, each year you will be required to submit a brief form, to confirm that your activity is still progressing, as per your initial application and to update any minor changes (e.g. dates).
